Marjorie Kornhouser, a tax professor at Tulane Law School, had an idea: figure out fun and creative ways to teach tax literacy to high school students. She started TaxJazz while at Arizona State University, and now she is realizing her dream by putting the lessons and law students in high school classrooms this semester. LCI loves Marjorie's project, and she volunteered to be our pilot fellow. We've worked with her on a variety of issues, and helped her negotiate the relationships--namely getting her to tech transfer--for issues that arise. We talk about the issue, what kinds of questions she might ask, and follow-up to see how everything is going. We have also helped navigate a little bit with trademark questions as well. She's been a great guinea pig and we are very grateful for her willingness to play. See this great story on her project.
